Description
of our show:
Our
show is nearly identical to a lu’au one would experience in Hawai’i.
Our lovely wahine and handsome kane perofrm a variety of dances
showcasing Hawai’i, Tahiti, the Cook islands and New Zealand in a one hour
show. The dancers also feature a
variety of beautiful costumes representative of the islands and utilize a
variety of authentic implements unique to the Polynesian islands.
One of the dancers will double as your MC for the lu’au performance and
help navigate your journey through the South Seas.
We
feature ancient chants of Hawai’i, elegant slow hulas, upbeat implement
numbers, fast hip-shaking Tahitian, intimidating haka and mesmerizing poi ball
routines of New Zealand, and comedic audience participation all in vibrant
costumes handmade by our dancers in a traditional manner
And
we make sure to cater the show to your special occasion. Whether it is a
birthday party, anniversary, or company event, we always incorporate the guests
of honor into the show. Imagine the 50 year old birthday boy on stage in
traditional Hawaiian wear, learning the graceful hula from our wahine dancers...
a guaranteed Kodak moment. Imagine the boss and managers with our Maori
warrior engaging in the savage Haka chant. Anniversaries are always
celebrated with a special "Hawaiian Wedding Song" segment of the
show. Always family friendly and professional, Chicago Hula Dancer will
cater the show to your celebration or specific needs.

requirements:
Requirements for entertainment
include dressing room for performers (a private area where dancers can lay out
their costumes), power, performance area (a space 10' X 15' is usually ample),
and parking.
